Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Lens + Hoya UV Filter + Accessory Kit Review

I purchased the 55-250 for my wife and I must say I am impressed with its performance. Although its not a fast lens (like my 70-200 2.8), the lens is very sharp. If you're looking for a good consumer grade lens (paid 0) and mostly take shots of stationary people or objects, its worth it. My wife loves the lens. Now if you like to shoot sports, this is not the lens for you.
The build of the 55-250 is very good (for its price). I was expecting it to be somewhat flimsy (since it has the plastic mount), but its actually not bad.
I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants a "walk around" lens with good reach. If you get this lens, you may want to also get a wider one to complement it. Have not tried the 18-55 IS since my wife already has a Tamron 28-75. That lens is very very good. This review is not about that lens so i wont discuss it.

The EOS 5D is a professional digital SLR camera. This camera has the obvious professional appeal to those who want a high-quality digital SLR camera in a lightBody.

The sensor is 35.8x23.9 mm CMOS with 12.8 million effective pixels and no FOV crop. Picture varies from 4368x2912, 3168x2112 and 2496x1664. The autofocus is a 9-point TTL, 6 "invisible assist AF points", 0.5 to 18 EV working range and the spot metering circle. Metering modes vary from 35-zone evaluation, center-weighted average of 1.0 to 20 EV metering range, spot and partial.

I love this Canon 2400 SLR Gadget Bag and I'm so happy with it, I have this bag for several months now and I can honestly say that it only has more then exceeded all my expectations. I own a Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG for Canon EOS SLR cameras, which was used before for some time as my major until I bought this gadget bag. This bag easily stores everything I need.

Before I bought Canon 2400> SLR Gadget Bag I was very hesitant because I do a lot of mixed reviews, which made me happy to buy it reading. So I finally decided to go for it, and I bought the camera bag from Amazon and the delivery date and once I have it right on me very happy, and what I have actually compared to some camera bags that I have seen I, surprised, 2400 this Canon SLR Gadget Bag seems small, but it's so spacious, and what I love most about this bag is that even it lookssmall, but it's really a great bag that does not feel like doing a big bag at all!

I have tried to fit all my camera and accessories, to see if I can get everything there, and it turns out, I can. In the main compartment of the bag I can fit simple:

1. Rebel XT body (with the kit lens to get it in the appendix)
2nd Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM telephoto zoom lens
3rd Canon Speedlite 430EX Flash
4th Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II

The front of the Canon 2400 SLR Gadget Bag holds a few lenses and extra memory cards and covers all the manuals for everything. On the pages of my pocket, I can hold the camera and video camera with cassettes for the video camera batteries and chargers for Flash. Even after that, with all the above, I still have room for other things to save. Digital Photography: The RAW vs JPG Debate

If you use a digital camera (I use a Canon EOS Digital Rebel/300D me) and a SLR camera, then it is likely the images in RAW format can record. In general, you should be taking pictures at the highest resolution possible. If you only have a small memory card and are worried that you are only a couple of RAW can take pictures, then it is time to buy a bigger card! [They do not cost much] in those days. You can always downsize an image after it hit, but you can not lead to an enlargement of a small introduction, without artifacts. At least you should take your camera to record images in Hires JPG format but RAW format is even better.

Any type of JPG written to your camera's memory card will be edited in any way. JPGs, by their very nature, lose information in an image. If you repeatedly save a JPG, you will lose more and more in detail, and there appear to display more artifacts. Also, if you have yourDo> camera up to some image processing (eg contast / adjustments) brightness, these are also applied before the camera writes the image to the memory card. In such cases, you could end up with images that are burned out highlights or shadows that are so deep that they are not detailed. Such areas of an image may be irreparable even with people from Adobe Photoshop.

RAW images, on the other side are simply that - raw. What the camera sees is dumped(no editing whatsoever) to the memory card. RAW images contain more information and details and have larger file sizes than similar resolution JPGs. The problem with RAW files is that they do not have the easiest to operate, for example, Windows Explorer can not display RAW files as thumbnails so if you rename your image files with meaningful names, you will not know what the pictures are when you return to them some months to come later.

This is where software like RawShooter Essentials [http://www.pixmantec.com/index2.html] (RSE) comes in. This software can import digital photographers of all, view, edit and convert large batches of RAW files (to TIF files). RSE is currently free - it will not be too long - so grab a copy now. After he uses it (I can not connect to the company to produce it) have, I can say that it makes working with RAW files is a breeze, much easier than using the software that came my> Canon EOS Digital Rebel.

With your converted RAW files, you have total control over what manipulations are carried out to produce the final image, using packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Elements or Paint Shop Pro. I owned the 6.0 MP Canon EOS Rebel (300D), which was Canon's first digital SLR, for several years until an internal mirror latch broke and for just a little more than it would have cost to fix, I purchased (refurbished) the next model up - which is the 350D or EOS Rebel XT.
The XT has been fantastic and a substantial upgrade. It's lighter (which really does matter when you have a heavy lens on) and faster in many respects than the 300D because of the DIGIC II image processor.
The image sensor (8MP) is comparable to the 20D's which is 8.2 MP.
The continues shooting speed is also a bit better at 3.0 fps.
The control layout was redesigned with a new drive mode button, new metering mode and AF buttons. I'm still getting used to that but it should not take long. Overall, I can recognize and feel the model upgrade and I'm once again enjoying taking Canon high quality images with this camera.

To better enable successful imaging under the most challenging of lighting conditions, the camera's DIGIC 4 Image Processor allows you to set the ISO rating from ISO 100 through 3200 in standard mode, and from 6400 to 12,800 in expanded mode. Once the 9-point wide-area AF system (with cross-type center point) nails the focus you can fire up to 3.4 fps for up to 170 exposures allowing, allowing you the option of capturing longer image sequences.
